The project
An integrated plant at Sines
Elythium (Insurex Technologies Limitada) is developing an integrated xanthates, NaHS and CS₂ plant at Sines, within Portugal's ZILS industrial zone. Once in operation, it will be the only merchant xanthate producer within the EU.

Products
Three outputs, one integrated site
CS₂ is produced on site as an intermediate and feeds both the xanthate and NaHS lines, with surplus CS₂ sold to industrial users.
Markets & logistics
Built for the Copperbelt, via Lobito
Output serves copper and cobalt producers in all major producing regions. The Copperbelt (DRC/Zambia), reached via the Port of Lobito, is a major market — with a shorter supply route than long-haul supply from Asia.
